The Eugene Mordechai Fischer Memorial Fund
Eugene Mordechai Fischer (Yaakov Mordechai ben Harav Zev Yehuda) was born in Orastie, Romania on July 10, 1942. He came to the United States after the Holocaustat the age of 5 with his parents and 2 older siblings. Throughout his life, he volunteered time and energy working for numerous organizations supporting the Baltimore Jewish Community and the State of Israel. Above all, he loved his family,
the State of Israel and the Jewish people. After retiring from a career with the US government, he served as the librarian at Ner Israel Rabbinical College in Baltimore. The impact he had on so many of the students at Ner Israel will always be part of his legacy. In his honor and memory, his family has established the Eugene Mordechai Fischer Memorial Fund to assist students learning in Israel after high school.
